PUGB Gamers win cryptos for playing

In a PRNewswire press release , the heavyweights of the gaming industry, Refereum and PUGG, have signed a strategic partnership agreement aimed at rewarding players for their efforts.

With the partnership, players in the successful action video game and winner of several PUGB prizes will be rewarded with RFR utility tokens from Refereum when they accomplish feats in the game, such as winning a match.

Commenting on the association, Refereum CEO Dylan Jones said the main objective of the alliance is to properly reward players for all the efforts they make to promote the games they love.

In his words:

“THE PLAYERS DO A LOT OF FREE MARKETING FOR GAMES THROUGH STREAMING SERVICES AND ON SOCIAL NETWORKS. HOWEVER, THEY ARE BARELY COMPENSATED ENOUGH FOR IT. WITH THIS REVOLUTIONARY NEW WAY TO REWARD PLAYERS FOR THEIR COMMITMENT TO THE GAME WITH PUBG, WE NOT ONLY REWARD THEM FOR PLAYING A GAME THEY LOVE, BUT ALSO FOR THEIR DEDICATION TO BECOME BETTER PLAYERS.

Promotion of blockchain adoption through video games

Since concluding its successful initial coin offering (ICO) in early December 2017, Refereum has been dedicated to encouraging the adoption of blockchain technology by directly connecting developers and influencers.

The platform is led by a dedicated team of veterans from the gaming, crypto and DLT industry. Refereum is said to work with several reputable game creators, including Unity, which makes it possible for members of a wide range of gaming communities to connect and get rewards for their influence.

Founded in March 2007 by Chang Byung-gyu, PUBG is the developer of TERA and the games PLAYERUNKNOWN’S BATTLEGROUNDS. The latter has seven Guinness World Records titles to his credit, including the first video game that reached 2 million concurrent players on Steam and the most actively played game on Steam, to name a few.

Although it is an incipient technology, blockchain has demonstrated in recent times that it has everything necessary to change the face of numerous sectors of the global economy, including video games.
